Nous allons commencer par nous intéresser aux spécifications techniques de la carte, car ce qui est certain c’est que de ce côté-là vous en aurez pour votre argent, le « processeur de signal numérique » (ça c’est pour nos francisateurs préférés) ou plus communément appelé Digital Signal Processor (DSP) équipant la X-Meridian supporte une pléthore de codages audio phoniques ; DTS, Dolby ProLogic IIx, Dolby Virtual speaker pour ne citer qu’eux.
En dehors de ces normes copyrightées, Le taux d’échantillonnage en lecture offre un bon 24bits/192Khz, mais voyons plutôt les spécifications constructeurs :

Comme nous vous en parlions en première page, les ingénieurs ont mis les petits plats dans les grands afin de traiter le signal et le rendre le plus fidèle possible. Pour se faire, ils ont opté pour un PCB double couches aux vues du nombre conséquent de composants utilisés, composants choisis avec un soin tout particulier.
Une particularité de la X-Meridian est la possibilité de lui adjoindre une carte d’extension répondant au doux nom de « X-Meridian X-Tension Board » dans le cas où le nombre de sorties déjà présentes sur la carte principale ne suffirait pas à raccorder tout votre matériel. Ici aussi un bon vieux copier /coller sera bien plus précis qu’un long discours :

- 4-pin-4-pin shield wire connection required between onboard's 4-pin EXT_MIC connector and extension board's 4-pin EXT_MIC connetor.

Bien évidement L’X-Meridian X-Tension board sera vendue séparément de sa grande sœur pour un prix inconnu puisqu’à l’heure actuelle ce produit n’est pas encore disponible.
